Abstract

As we have previously stated, heterogeneous precipitation differs from homogeneous precipitation in the distribution of the nucleation sites. In the case of heterogeneous precipitation, nuclei are formed at faults in the structure, of which the activity from this point of view may be very different, depending on their nature or on the conditions of treatment, temperature and time of ageing.
