Summary
Part I presents a discussion of the problem of identifiability of mixtures and the problem of damaged observations, arising in toxicology. Three models — Poisson, binomial and negative binomial are discussed in this context. Further, these three distributions are characterised by a condition, akin to the Rao- Rubin condition.
In Part II, a bivariate discrete model is proposed, in order to study the frequency of side-effects of two kinds, recorded during a short-term clinical trial on a certain drug.
