Abstract

The development of computer technology over the last years allowed creation of integrated decision-making support systems (DMSS) for the water economy. Such systems reflect the decision-maker’s (DM) desire to consider a water object as a whole with all technical, ecological, financial, economic and other problems related to it. They provide tools for analyses of different solutions allowing to take into account all formal and informal considerations involved in planning, design and management of water resource system (WRS). DMSS offers a common platform for solving complex water problems utilizing decomposition principles.
