Abstract
The importance of the feedback framework is not so much in the full use of all the mathematical mechanics but rather in a frame of mind — a frame that considers dynamics, uncertainty, and feedback. Automatic stabilizers are a good example of the feedback style of thinking. This chapter provides a review of some existing stabilization policies and ideas for some new policies.
For examples of the application of feedback control methods to agriculture see Arzac and Wilkinson (1979) and Rausser (1978).
