Study on the Adsorption of Small Molecules on High Conducting Doped Polypyrrole by Chromatography

  • Chapter
Integration of Fundamental Polymer Science and Technology—4

Abstract

The behavior of the adsorption of H2 O2 and C0 on highly conducting doped polypyrrole has been studied using the gas chromatographic technique. A series of pictures which adsorbed amount and potential energy change correspondingly with temperature and the distance between the interaction of the adsorbate and adsorbent are obtained. The results are shown that the behavior of the adsorption is related to doped constituents and properties, as well as topologic property and distance between the molecules. From the adsorption of and C0 on the polypyrrole can see that due to the existence of H the amounts of C0 adsorbed increases apparently. H2 seems to be a “scavenger” or “cleaner” of the hole, but the exsistance of C0 inhibits the adsorption of H2. The relative adsorbed equations are obtained.
