Abstract
A survey of polypropylene crosslinking initiated by thermal decomposition of peroxide is given. The role of coagents of the crosslinking is demonstrated and mainly consists in inhibition of macroradical fragmentation. The properties of crosslinked polypropylene as well as of crosslinked polypropylenepolyethylene blends are shown to depend strongly on the effectivity of crosslinking.
