Abstract

In this paper we review aspects of the application of computers in the analysis of bioprocesses. Concepts and methods concerning model development are examined. Basic numerical tools and details on least squares estimation, particularly statistical analysis of estimates are discussed. A process simulator of the dynamics of non-linear systems is presented and shown through the application to case studies to be an efficient tool for teaching and research in process dynamics and control.
