Abstract

General Relativity and Teleparallel Gravity are constructed on the very same metric spacetime—the same metric and tetrad field are at work in both approaches. They use, however, different connections: the torsionless Levi-Civita connection in the first, and the vanishing-curvature Weitzenböck connection in the second. For the sake of comparison with well-known results of General Relativity, the torsion tensor associated by Teleparallel Gravity to the de Sitter and the Kerr solutions are obtained.
