Abstract
The main objective of the Chap. 4 theory is to acquaint the readers with the peculiarities of functional devices construction performing nonlinear operations with input signals: limiting, logarithmation, rectification of alternating voltages, etc. To become familiar with the material below, the readers should have a clear knowledge about these units within the course “Electronics” or “Electronics in Instrument Making.” After learning this Chapter, the readers will know the operation of various nonlinear devices and can determine the form of the functional transformation performed by them.
