Abstract
In this chapter, we describe the status of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in secondary schools of the People’s Republic of China. We discuss the GIS requirements in the geography curriculum for secondary schools and present two cases of GIS in classrooms. The chapter concludes with limitations and prospects of GIS education in Chinese secondary schools.
