Abstract

Beggars in Bali have a new way to get pity from homeowners. Although there are not so many beggars in Bali, the Balinese dislike them, especially the strong and healthy ones. The homeowner will grouse at them, saying, “Why do you beg? You are healthier and stronger than I. Get a job!”
