Collision, Fusion, and Spiralling of Interacting Solitons in a Bulk Quadratic Medium

Abstract

We analyze interactions of (2+l)-dimensional parametric soli tons and demonstrate non-planar beam switching in a bulk χ(2) medium. This includes controllable soliton repulsion, spiralling, and fusion. Analytical model predicting results of the soliton scattering is also derived and verified by direct numerics.
