Abstract

This chapter starts with an introduction of feature pattern extraction method. It then describes the theoretical background of the feature pattern extraction method for assessment of unbalance of voltage and current in a power system. The method is then applied on normalized waveform. Rule set is generated through computer simulation for assessment of unbalance using feature pattern extraction method. Merits and demerits of the methods are discussed.
