Abstract

The treatment of offenders with mental disorders is generally addressed at the ambiguous intersection of the criminal justice and the mental health systems. This entanglement of systems presents prison psychiatry with intricate problems. Strict rules govern correctional institutions. Therefore, psychiatric practices are complicated by a variety of challenges.
