Samenvatting

In het verleden richtten zorgverleners zich bij toepassing van orale implantaten voornamelijk op het tot stand brengen van osseointegratie en het vervaardigen van een suprastructuur. Thans is er groeiende aandacht voor een esthetisch optimaal resultaat, adequate verzorging van de voorzieningen, evaluatie van de implantaten en de omringende weefsels en het minimaliseren van de nazorg en onderhoudsinspanningen.
