Riassunto
Frequentemente si osservano manifestazioni dermatologiche nei pazienti affetti da malattie a carico del piccolo intestino, in particolare le malattie infiammatorie intestinali e soprattutto la malattia celiaca. Queste dermopatie sembrano essere correlate sia alla perdita della funzione assorbitiva e della motilità intestinale, che ai cambiamenti immunologici e ormonali indotti da queste malattie intestinali. L’aumentata permeabilità intestinale che si osserva nel paziente celiaco comporterebbe infatti un aumento del passaggio transmembrana di antigeni esogeni ed endogeni, con l’induzione di una risposta immunologica, che condizionerebbe l’insorgenza di malattie immuno-mediate.
