Abstract
Peripheral nerves and skin are usually affected in leprosy. Later on, also other organs can be affected, especially in the multibacillary forms: testicles, adrenal glands, eyes, and above all organs which are rich in reticuloendothelial system (lymph nodes, liver, and spleen). In leprosy reaction type 2, immunocomplexes can cause glomerulonephritis, scleritis, and iridocyclitis. Ocular involvement may be also due to alteration of cranial nerves V and VII.
