Abstract
Lo studio elettrofisiologico è una procedura diagnostica invasiva utilizzata per la valutazione delle proprietà di eccito-conduzione del cuore e per lo studio delle aritmie cardiache che precede il trattamento con radiofrequenza delle stesse. Lo SEE ha una sensibilità e una specificità variabile nel determinare le anomalie nel ritmo cardiaco. Negli atleti i parametri di base dello SEF possono mostrare sensibili differenze rispetto alla popolazione generale. Attraverso l’utilizzo di nuovi sistemi per “mappare” elettricamente il cuore, si possono determinare proprietà elettriche patologiche delle camere cardiache e supportare la diagnosi precoce di condizioni patologiche a elevato rischio di morte improvvisa, nonché effettuare ablazioni di aritmie estremamente complesse.
