Abstract
In this chapter, we describe the measurement of the Absorption (ABS) \(+\) Charge exchange (CX) cross section with the PIA\(\nu \)O scintillation fiber detector. The ABS \(+\) CX cross section is extracted from the ratio of Data to the MC prediction of the ABS \(+\) CX events. The ABS \(+\) CX events are selected by requiring no \(\pi ^+\) tracks in the final state of the interaction. The reconstruction of the particle tracks, event selection cuts and simulation are described in Sects. 5.1–5.3, respectively. The result of the ABS \(+\) CX measurement and the systematic errors are described in Sect. 5.4.
