Zusammenfassung
In der Literatur wird der Begriff der Kommunikation unterschiedlich definiert. Rubenstein (1953) stellt in seiner Definition den Prozesscharakter der Kommunikation heraus. Demnach ist die Kommunikation ein zielgerichteter und bewusster Prozess „whereby information is transferred by whatever observable or reportable means, between individuals and/or groups“ (Rubenstein 1953: 79). Wie auch später Homans (1978: 60 f.) betont er den intentionalen Charakter von Kommunikation.
