Zusammenfassung
Um den Betrachtungsbereich der Planungsmethode abzugrenzen, sind eine Definition des Begriffes Produktion und eine Klassifikation von Produktionssystemen der Güterproduktion erforderlich. Die Produktion ist Teil des Leistungsmanagements durch welches das Leistungsangebot eines Unternehmens realisiert wird. Das Leistungsangebot eines Unternehmens beschreibt die Marktleistung eines Anbieters und findet Ausdruck im Produktsortiment sowie in der Produktfolge [Haedrich/Tomczak 1996, S. 16].
