Zusammenfassung
Wie die meisten Industrienationen weist auch Großbritannien typische Merkmale einer spätfordistischen Wirtschafts- und Gesellschaftsstruktur auf. Während die Wirtschaftsleistung überwiegend durch Dienstleistungen und nur noch in geringem Maße durch indust trielle Produktion erbracht wird, sind wesentliche Kennzeichen der britischen Gesellschaft Alterung und eine hohe Affinität zu materiellem Konsum.
