Zusammenfassung
Propagationsmuster bei Temporallappenepilepsie sind sowohl von klinischem als auch von wissenschaftlichem Interesse. In der präoperativen Abklärung von Epilepsiepatienten könnte durch die genaue Kenntnis der Propagationswege epileptischer Entladungen die epileptogene Zone besser definiert werden. Dadurch könnten selektivere Operationsmethoden und eine Minimierung neuropsychologischer Ausfälle ermöglicht werden (Wieser 1986). In wissenschaftlicher Hinsicht ist die Kenntnis der Ausbreitungswege epileptischer Entladungen für das Verständnis der Pathophysiologic der menschlichen Epilepsie unerläßlich.
