Zusammenfassung
Die enterale Ernährung hat in den letzten Jahren in der Behandlung von schwer kranken Menschen eine gewisse Bedeutung erlangt. Eine enterale Ernährung mit industriell gefertigten Diäten kann gerade beim Intensivpatienten zu Komplikationen führen und die enterale Ernährung ineffektiv machen. In der Literatur wird die Komplikationsrate bei dieser Form der Ernährung mit insgesamt bis zu 60% angesehen, sodaß die Sondenernährung dadurch vielfach in Mißkredit gerät.
