Abstract

The definition of the class of thermoelstic materials has already appeared in many monographs and textbooks, where also its basic properties have been extensively investigated. Let us just mention a few references commonly available. Some courses have been held on this subject in Udine: C. C. Wang1971, R.Stojanović1972. The detailed and careful presentation can be found in the book of C. Truesdell1972,Sec. XV (see also: C. Truesdell, W. Noll1965,Sec. 96).
