Abstract

A variety of physical structural elements may be imagined without difficulty. These elements, when jointed together by means of certain types of connections, form a structural system with definite elastomechanical properties. The geometrical shape of such a structural assembly may vary from a beam to a three-dimensional shell-type structure.
