Zusammenfassung
In diesem Text sollen zunächst kurz einige sozialwissenschaftliche und politische Antworten auf Fragestellungen vorgestellt werden, die sich aus den sozialen Phänomenen des Niedergangs des „männlichen Ernährers“ und der „Krise“ von Familie und Reproduktion ergeben. In die Debatten darüber gehen sowohl Argumente der neotraditionalistischen Rechten wie kommunitaristische Rezepte und solche des gegenwärtigen „dritten Weges“ ein. Anschließend werden wir untersuchen, wie einige Individuen und Familien sich an die Veränderungen angepasst haben. Wir greifen dabei auf empirisches Material aus biographischen Interviews zurück, die wir in drei Ländern, Großbritannien, Frankreich und Norwegen, mit Ärztinnen und Ärzten sowie mit weiblichen und männlichen Bankmanagern durchgeführt haben. Unsere Ergebnisse sollen dazu dienen, Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Strategien und Rezepte bezüglich der Familie und der Gleichstellung von Frauen zu erörtern, die gegenwärtig diskutiert werden.
