Zusammenfassung
Pflanzenschutzmittel (PSM), hier verstanden als Stellvertreter für organische Umweltchemikalien, gelangen gezielt oder als Immission in Agrarökosysteme. Abbau, Fixierung, Metabolisierung und Verlagerung im Boden, Aufnahme durch Pflanzen, Verflüchtigung von Boden und Pflanzen und photochemischoxidativer Abbau sind die maßgeblichen Prozesse, die das weitere Schicksal der Substanzen bestimmen (Führ et al. 1991). Diese Prozesse können mit 14C-markierten Substanzen im Detail untersucht werden, was zahlreiche analytische Vorteile wie niedrige Nachweisgrenzen, Erfassung nicht-extrahierbarer Rückstände in Böden und Pflanzen und die Erstellung von Bilanzen bietet. Außerdem läßt sich 14CO2 als Endprodukt der Mineralisierung aus Abbauprozessen 14C-markierter Substanzen vom natürlichen CO2 der Umgebungsluft unterschneiden.
