Zusammenfassung
Periprothetische Azetabulumfrakturen sind eine bislang eher seltene Entität des vornehmlich älteren Patienten. Die genaue Inzidenz dieser Frakturen kann derzeit nicht sicher angegeben werden, da bisher vor allem Einzelfallbeschreibungen oder kleinere klinische Serien publiziert worden sind. Dennoch ist in den letzten Jahren durch die zunehmende Überalterung der Bevölkerung, welche jedoch auch im fortgeschrittenen Alter aktiv bleibt, ein Anstieg der Becken- und vor allem der Azetabulumfrakturen zu verzeichnen.
