Zusammenfassung

Die Inzidenz periprothetischer Frakturen (PPF) im Allgemeinen und somit auch im Bereich der Hüfte wird entsprechend der Anzahl an primären Implantationen künftig weiter zunehmen. Für die USA beispielsweise werden für das Jahr 2030 ca. 572.000 primäre Hüft-Totalendoprothesen (H-TEP) pro Jahr prognostiziert.
