Soziale Ungleichheit, Arbeit und Gesundheit

Zusammenfassung

Angesichts niedriger Arbeitslosenquoten, hoher Beschäftigungszahlen und eines stabilen Wirtschaftswachstums in den letzten Jahren ließe sich für die gesellschaftliche Lage Deutschlands ein positives Bild zeichnen. Betrachtet man andererseits die Verteilung von Einkommen und Vermögen über diesen Zeitraum, ist festzustellen, dass nur die Haushalte, die zu der Hälfte mit höheren Einkommen zählen, von der stabilen Wirtschaftslage profitiert haben und die ohnehin stark ausgeprägten Ungleichheiten in der Einkommens- und Vermögensverteilung dagegen noch zugenommen haben. Die Realeinkommen der unteren Einkommensgruppen haben stagniert und die Armutsquote ist konstant geblieben (Grabka et al. 2019). Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen gesellschaftspolitischen Herausforderungen des demografischen Wandels, der Zuwanderung aus Krisengebieten und der Umstellung auf eine digitalisierte und klimagerechte Wirtschaft sind weitere gesellschaftliche Polarisierungstendenzen und zum Teil auch neue soziale Ungleichheiten zu befürchten.
