Zusammenfassung
Teamarbeit, um die es im vorliegenden Kapitel gehen wird, ist die gemeinsame Zusammenarbeit von Teammitgliedern, um ein gemeinsames Ziel zu erreichen. In der Medizin kann es heute als gesichert gelten, dass eine Korrelation zwischen der Güte der Teamprozesse einerseits und den Behandlungsprozessen und dem Patientenoutcome besteht. Teamarbeit ist somit also ein systemimmanenter Bestandteil der Akutmedizin: Es gibt keine hochwertige und sichere Patientenversorgung ohne Teamarbeit. Das Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit den Strukturen, die eine Teamarbeit ausmachen und letztlich auch eine gute von einer schlechten Teamarbeit unterscheiden. Ein Team aus erfahrenen Personen ergibt noch kein erfahrenes Team: Kommunikation ist wesentlich für erfolgreiche Teamarbeit; durch Kommunikation (s. auch Kap. 12) bildet sich ein Team und ohne Kommunikation kann kein Teamprozess stattfinden.
