Zusammenfassung
Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, dem Anästhesisten ein Verständnis der komplexen physiologischen Vorgänge im Laufe der Schwangerschaft zu vermitteln und Querverweise zur anästhesiologischen Versorgung einer Schwangeren zu geben. Es werden zunächst die morphologischen Veränderungen organbezogen dargestellt und erst in einem zweiten Schritt die physiologischen Vorgänge erklärt. Wo immer es sinnvoll erscheint, werden die Bezüge zur anästhesiologischen Versorgung hervorgehoben, da die dargelegten Kenntnisse unerlässlich sind, um zwischen physiologisch regelrechten Veränderungen (Anpassung) und pathologischen Zuständen (Fehlreaktion) rechtzeitig unterscheiden und therapeutische Handlungsmaßnahmen ableiten zu können.
