Zusammenfassung

Aufgrund deutlicher epidemiologischer, pathophysiologischer und therapeutisch-prognostischer Unterschiede sind die Plattenepithelkarzinome der Speiseröhre klar von den Adenokarzinomen des gastro-ösophagealen Übergangs zu unterscheiden und sollen deshalb in diesem Kapitel auch getrennt betrachtet werden.
