Abstract
For electronic business transactions over the internet, it is important to have a system for legally binding digital contracts. In a traditional paperbound agreement between two parties, both get a copy of the agreement signed by both parties. If a dispute arises later, there is a finely tuned legal system to deal with this. Courts will hold both signatories to the terms of the agreement. At least, that is the principle; sharp lawyers may argue this way or the other.
