Zusammenfassung

Die Paartherapieforschung beschäftigt sich mit der Wirksamkeit und Wirkungsweise von therapeutischen Interventionen und versucht die Frage zu beantworten, welche Faktoren zu einer positiven Veränderung bei den Paaren führen. Es ist offensichtlich, dass dies eine hochkomplexe Aufgabe ist, die in diesem Buch nur sehr selektiv besprochen werden kann. Nachfolgend werden einige wenige, relativ gut belegte Ergebnisse und Diskussionen aus der Forschung herausgegriffen, die meiner Meinung nach für Praktiker spannend sein könnten.

Zu Beginn möchte ich der Frage nachgehen, ob Paartherapie grundsätzlich wirksam ist (Abschn. 4.1) und anschließend die Frage vertiefen, was genau an der Paartherapie wirkt (Abschn. 4.2). Dabei zeigte sich, dass die Wirkung auf das Zusammenspiel von unspezifischen (Abschn. 4.3), ressourcenorientierten (Abschn. 4.4) und problembezogenen Wirkfaktoren (Abschn. 4.5) zurückzuführen ist.
