Pd Palladium

Abstract

There seems to be no evidence for the existence of binary palladium nitrides. Calculated heats of formation for PdXNY are +10 kJ/mol for Pd0.67N0.33, +22 kJ/mol for Pd0.5N0.5 and +39 kJ/mol for Pd0.4N0.6, based on chemical potential and electron density data. Thus the non-existence of binary nitrides was predicted [1].
