Zusammenfassung
Die Befähigung zur Notfall-Intubation, zur extrathorakalen Herzmassage und zur Venae sectio sollte jeder operativ tätige Arzt besitzen, um akut auftretenden Schockzuständen begegnen und Patienten ggf. reanimieren zu können. Voraussetzung dafür ist eine entsprechende Ausstattung des Operationsraums. Dazu zählen insbesondere Laryngoskop, Endotrachealtubus, Tracheotomiebesteck sowie Absaug- und Beatmungsgerät (s. Übersicht). Darüber hinaus müssen wichtige Notfallmedikamente wie Adrenalin, Atropin, wasserlösliche Kortikoide sowie Blutersatzmittel stets griffbereit sein (s. Übersicht). Bei bekannt kreislauflabilen Patienten ist präoperativ stets ein venöser Zugang zu legen.
