Zusammenfassung

Die Kryochirurgie stellt eine Ergänzung des operativen Therapiespektrums dar, mit einem weiten Indikationsbereich benigner, präkanzeröser und maligner Tumoren (s. Übersicht). Dennoch ist die Kryochirurgie der chirurgischen Entfernung unterlegen, da letztere den entscheidenden Vorteil der kompletten histologischen Beurteilbarkeit einschließlich dreidimensionaler Kontrolle der Tumorradikalität beinhaltet.
