Zusammenfassung

Operative Eingriffe am Integument unterliegen den gleichen Regeln ärztlicher Kunst, sowohl prä-, intra- und postoperativ, wie sie auch in jeder anderen chirurgischen Disziplin selbstverständlich sind. Grundsätzlich hängt dabei die Entscheidung zur Durchführung eines operativen Eingriffs von dem Allgemeinzustand des zu operierenden Patienten ab. Da in der operativen Dermatologie Wahleingriffe die Regel sind, d. h. die Operation nur in den wenigsten Fällen wegen einer akut lebensbedrohlichen Indikation erfolgt, wird bei eingeschränkter Operabilität anderen in dem Fach etablierten Behandlungsverfahren nach Möglichkeit der Vorzug zu geben sein. Besonders kritisch muß die Entscheidung für oder wider einen Eingriff überdacht werden, wenn dieser vorwiegend aus kosmetisch-ästhetischen Gründen erfolgen soll und bei dem Patienten potentielle Risikofaktoren bekannt sind.
