Kommt ein Kind auf die Intensivstation, stehen die Eltern meistens unter Schock; sie haben Angst um ihr Kind, vielleicht auch Schuldgefühle, weil sie nicht aufgepasst haben oder ihr Kind nicht haben schützen können. Etwas anderes ist es natürlich, wenn der Aufenthalt geplant war, z. B. nach bestimmten Operationen.
