Abstract
A pulsed acoustic wave technique is used to generate leading-edge receptivity coefficients for a 20:1 modified super-ellipse leading edge at 12 and 15 m/s. The pulsed-sound approach is useful in two ways: it provides a direct measurement of Tollmien-Schlichting wave amplitudes without subtraction of an underlying signal, and it avoids acoustic feedback which occurs with continuous forcing.
