Zusammenfassung

Die Erkrankungen dieses Abschnittes charakterisieren sich als Iritis, Cyclitis (gleichbedeutend mit Iritis serosa) und Iridocyclitis mit oder ohne Glaskörper­trübungen. Es ist im allgemeinen wohl überhaupt unmöglich, die Erkrankungen dieser beiden Abschnitte der Uvea voneinander zu trennen, wenn es sich nicht gerade um isolierte, entzündliche Geschwülste handelt. Sprechen wir also im folgenden von spezifischer Iritis, so ist mit diesem Ausdruck keineswegs eine gleichzeitige Erkrankung des Ciliarkörpers ausgeschlossen, sie wird im Gegenteil als wahrscheinlich vorausgesetzt. Eine nur mit Beschlägen einhergehende Erkrankung des vorderen Uvealtractus (Cyclitis oder Iritis serosa) kommt bei Syphilis, besonders bei der erworbenen, als spezifische Affektion selten vor.
