Zusammenfassung
Die Ausbildung zum Ärztlichen oder Psychologischen Psychotherapeuten findet gemäß der Aus- und Weiterbildungs-Richtlinien therapieschulenorientiert statt. Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten müssen sich in Deutschland zwischen der tiefenpsychologischen, der verhaltenstherapeutischen oder – seit kurzem – der systemischen Therapierichtung entscheiden. Im Widerspruch zu dieser Schulenorientierung steht in vielen Fällen die „gelebte Praxis“.
