Zusammenfassung

Im zweiten Kapitel werden Theorien und Ansätze der Soziologie, der Sozialpsychologie, der Gesundheitswissenschaften und der Kommunikationswissenschaft als Grundlagen für die Angehörigenkommunikation und die Ableitung entsprechender Strategien vorgestellt. Dabei nehmen die Ansätze der sozialen Unterstützung und die verschiedenen Rollentheorien zunächst die Interaktionen zwischen Patienten und Angehörigen in den Blick. Modelle der triadischen Entscheidungsfindung fokussieren anschließend stärker auf die Triade (d. h. die Arzt-Patienten-Angehörigen-Kommunikation). Der Two-Step-Flow of Support verbindet schließlich die verschiedenen Ansätze und dient damit als Rahmenmodell, um die Kommunikations- und Unterstützungswege zwischen Angehörigen und Patient sowie zwischen Angehörigen und weiteren Unterstützungsquellen abzubilden. Modelle der Gesundheitskompetenz und deren Dimensionen und Angehörigenspezifika bilden schließlich eine zentrale Grundlage für die Kommunikationsstrategie der Kompetenzentwicklung.
