Dieses Kapitel baut auf einer Erfahrung auf, die ich im Laufe des Forschungsprozesses mehrfach machte. In der Regel werden Fußballvereine mit türkischem Namen, wie etwa Türkiyemspor Berlin, Galatasaray Spandau oder BSV Al-Dersimspor, als „türkische Fußballvereine“ bezeichnet. Diese Bezeichnung wird sowohl im Fußballalltag als auch in Medien und Politik gebraucht.
