Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag untersucht, wie die „Vergeschlechtlichung“ der Religionsforschung deren Gegenstand verändert hat. Dies führte zu weitgehenden Veränderungen des Religionsbegriffs und des Verständnisses von Religion sowie der Methoden zu ihrer Erforschung. Nach einem allgemeinen Überblick über vergangene Errungenschaften der Forschung untersucht der Beitrag jüngere Verschiebungen der wissenschaftlichen Aufmerksamkeit weg von „offizieller“ Religion hin zu „inoffizieller“ oder „gelebter“ bzw. „Alltagsreligion“.
