In diesem Kapitel wird der Begriff Direktzugang bzw. Direct Access durch den Dachverband internationaler Physiotherapieverbände, der ‘World Confederation of Physical Therapy’ (WCPT), definiert. Es findet zudem eine tiefergehende Begriffserläuterung des Wortes statt. Es wird deutlich gemacht, warum der WCPT den Direktzugang für seine Mitgliedsverbände erreichen möchte.
