Abstract

The sustainability strategy of the German government demands the implementation of sustainability as guiding principle for all political actions. This includes the obligation to assess every new regulation and law regarding their impact on the indicators for sustainable development (Bundesregierung 2008). As labor market policy (LMP) is a substantial dimension of political actions, it must follow the guiding principle and consider it in the decisions and measures.
