Abstract
In this article we discuss lifelogging as a phenomenon of a recursive datafication of life that has obtained more and more live-quality: numbers and data can be documented and connected while creating them and be used to direct the further actions, simultaneously. We take this observation as the starting point to argue that lifelogging, as a prototypical technology of self-constitution, is linked to a model of social control we call vital normalism. With this concept we propose to expand and complement the notion of normalism as defined by Jürgen Link and focus on the current fusion of a flexible-normalistic type of sociation with a culture of life. Thus, lifelogging finally can be understood as both: an expression and a proliferation of vital normalism at the same time.
